EXPERIENCE THE THRILL OF LA EPICA GRAVEL GRINDER

Follow these steps to download and use the official La Épica routes on your device. All links are sent by email before the event.

Step 1: Download the GPX File

1. Select your distance (Saturday Short, Saturday Long, Sunday Short, Sunday Long).
2. Scan the QR Code for the courses you will be riding (both saturday and sunday)
3. On the bottom right screen of your phone click the three vertical dots and select “Add to favorites”
4. Click the Send to device

Step 2: Upload the GPX File to your Garmin Device Garmin

1. Go to Garmin Connect (website).
2. Navigate to Training / Courses.
3. Click 'Import' and upload the GPX file.
4. Click “Get Started”
5. Select “Gravel Cycling” as the course type
6. Name the course - ej, “Epica Saturday SHORT” or “Epica Saturday LONG”
7. Save the course to Gamin Connect
8. Click “Send to Device”
9. Sync your device before race day

For the safety and security of all participants, La Épica has partnered with RaceMap. This platform allows us to track riders in real time using their phone’s GPS signal. With RaceMap, both the event team and any friend or family member you choose can follow your location on the course at all times—live. This added layer of visibility helps us respond quickly if needed and gives your loved ones peace of mind while you enjoy the ride. 

How to set up RaceMap on your phone:

1. Scan the RaceMap QR code for the courses you plan to ride (sent by email).
2. You will be prompted to install the FREE RaceMap App for iOS or Android depending on your phone.
3. Create a RaceMap account.
4. After this: Scan the QR code once again
5. Your RaceMap App will open up to a page where you write your name and race number and then press “SIGN UP”
6. Allow the App to track you “while using the app”. If you want to conserve battery change this to “Always Allow” so that your GPS signal can be tracked even if the App is not open and the screen is off.
7. A ‘Start Tracking” button will appear at the bottom of the screen. Press that button the morning of the event so that we can track you during the event.
8. You will also notice that the vent you signed up for now appears in the list of “Upcoming” events on your app.
9. If you signed up for Saturday and Sunday both events will be listed there.
10. The morning of the event press on the event from the ‘Upcoming” list and then press “Start Tracking”
